Alberta's Mental Health Capacity Building (MHCB) in Schools Initiative is funded and managed by Recovery Alberta. There are MHCB programs across the province of Alberta.
The purpose of the MHCB is to promote positive mental health in children, youth, families, and communities. MHCB programs run 12 months of the year, providing mental health education, activities, and support during the school year and on non-school days, including summer.
By raising awareness of mental health and promoting positive coping strategies, we work together with schools and community agencies to develop strong, healthy, and resilient young people.
