Our History

Our History

The BEST Program has been active since 2011 starting in Niton Central School (Lobstick), A.H. Dakin Elementary School (Edson) and Crescent Valley Elementary School (Hinton).  In September 2015, Wellness Coaches moved to three new schools: Wildwood School (Lobstick), Ecole Pine Grove Middle School (Edson) and Ecole Mountainview (Hinton).  For the 2017-2018 school year there were Coaches based in Ecole Pine Grove Middle School (Edson), Harry Collinge High School (Hinton), Crescent Valley Elementary (Hinton), Summit View Elementary (Grande Cache), Sheldon Coates (Grande Cache), Grande Cache High School & SonRise Christian Program (Grande Cache), Jasper Elementary (Jasper) and Jasper Jr./Sr. High School (Jasper).

The BEST programs are not limited to the schools we predominantly work within. We can provide support, resources, events and programming for other schools and communities within the Grande Yellowhead Public School Division (GYPSD).
