Success Coaches facilitate in-class and school-wide mental health programs. These are:

Planned in collaboration with the teacher and the principal to address current needs and trends

Focused on mental health education and awareness

Delivered to all students, not targeted to individual students

Designed to build a teacher's capacity for teaching mental health-focused material, therefore the teacher must be present during in-class programming
- Available as site-specific crisis support across the division as needed
Success Coaches provide parent information sessions. These are:
- Provided as needed based on community and school needs

Provided periodically throughout the school year depending upon the Success Coach's time and availability
Success coaches collaborate with community agencies. They do this by:

Providing information and guidance about mental health programs to local youth- and family-serving agencies

Meeting with community agencies to discuss community-specific trends and needs affecting children, youth, and families

Participating in community events to share information about youth mental health
- Assisting in planning community events and initiatives that aim to improve youth and family mental health
Success Coaches and the B.E.S.T. program supports GYPSD staff by:

Providing mental health education, including ways to improve individual mental wellness, to staff

Leading mental health education sessions for staff as needed
